7:00 pm The Republican Assault on Our Lives (and how you can fight back)

NOTE: due to time constraints and speaker schedules we've made some changes to our Thursday program.  The environmental and educational impact discussions are being pushed forward to our next program sometime in early May, as well as probably some of the civil rights discussion.  We intend to deal at least with immigration issues on Thursday.

*******************************************************************

Our first panel will examine the threats to democracy and the public welfare from the new Republican government in detail, featuring experts from civil liberties groups, the League of Conservation Voters, Planned Parenthood, Electronic Frontier Foundation, the NEA, and others.  We will also get some direction from them on mounting an effective resistance.

The second part of our program will feature representatives from local organizations like Indivisible, SFVision, SF Berniecrats, and Democracy Action on how we can unite locally to fight back, and to get Democrats elected in 2018 and 2020.

SF4D will continue to hold informational programs like this well into the year, and we plan to increase our own outreach activities.  Come out and see how you can get involved!
What: Panel: The Republican assault on our lives, and what we can do about it
