1) Why are you running for The Community College Board?

AS ALWAYS TO HELP OUR STUDENTS TO REALIZE THEIR DREAMS FOR A BETTER LIE THRU EDUCATION

2) What is your background in Education?

INCUMBENT SINCE 1995, JEWISH VOCATIONAL SERVICES, UNITED NATION EDUCATION COMMITTEE

3) If elected to this position, what are your top three priorities for improving City College of San Francisco (CCSF) in the next four years?

LOBBYING STATE FOR FUNDING

COMPLETIONS FOR OUR FACILITIES CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

DEVELOP AN ALUMNI ASSOC. TO INCREASE FUNDING BASE

4) If elected to the Community College Board will you ensure that the process of shared governance occurs, regarding matters of policy? If not, why?

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AN ADVOCATE AND SUPPORTER OF SHARED GOVERNANCE - WE ARE A COLLEGE!

5) How would you assess the distribution of general education classes throughout CCSF campuses? Is it equitable? Do you believe changes can be made? If so, what changes will you make if elected to the Community College Board?

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE FULL SERVICE CAMPUSES BUT ALSO RECOGNIZE SOME COMMUNITIES NEED MORE SPECIFIC CLASSES THAN OTHERS. FOR EXAMPLE MORE ESL CLASSES IN OUR MISSION AND CHINATOWN CAMPUSES ETC.

6) What role does the CCSF administration currently have regarding childcare for students with children? Do you believe their current role is sufficient? If not, what changes would you make if elected?

WE ARE ALWAYS FIGHTING FOR MORE CHILDCARE SERVICES AND THIS IS ALSO DEPENDENT ON STATE BUDGET ALLOCATIONS AND GRANTS.

7) What is your position regarding privatization in the public sector?

WE SHOULD NOT PRIVITIZE BUT SHOULD HAVE PBLIC /PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS WHICH WE DO AT CCSF

8) Do you favor the use of Project Labor Agreements at CCSF? Please explain your position. SUPPORTED UNANIMOUSLY BY THE COLLEGE BOARD.
